What is Amazon Vendor Central?

Amazon Vendor Central lets selected businesses operate as first-party (1P) suppliers to Amazon. You sell your products to Amazon in bulk, and Amazon resells them to customers under “Ships from and sold by Amazon.”

Vendor Central is invite-only and purchase-order driven. Instead of listing to shoppers yourself (as you would in Seller Central / 3P), Amazon sends you purchase orders, you confirm and fulfill them, and you invoice Amazon.

In Direct Fulfillment, Amazon forwards individual customer orders to you and you ship directly to the buyer. In Retail Procurement / Direct Import, Amazon buys inventory in bulk into its own fulfillment centers and handles customer shipping itself.

Either way, the same documents flow back and forth, purchase orders (PO), order acknowledgements, advance shipping notices (ASN), and invoices. Commercium automates these between Vendor Central and Odoo so your ERP and Amazon 1P channel stay in sync.

Technical questions about how the integration works, and general questions about running on Commercium.

Which Odoo versions and hosting are supported?

We support from version 16 to latest, Community and Enterprise, on Odoo Online, odoo.sh or self-hosted. The connector uses standard models and adds no core patches.

Do we need our own AS2 setup or EDI VAN?

It depends on your account. Where AS2 is required, the Commercium backend holds the endpoint and certificates and handles trading partner registration; where Amazon’s other interfaces apply, no VAN is needed. Your exact setup is confirmed during onboarding.

How are Amazon items matched to Odoo products?

By internal reference, GTIN/EAN or an explicit Amazon item field on the product. Unmatched lines are held in a mapping queue rather than creating a broken order.

What happens when a document fails?

Failures retry with backoff and stay in the document log with the raw payload and error. Alerts fire on repeated failure so nothing sits silently past its window.

Can we run direct fulfilment and direct import together?

Where your account is enrolled in both programmes, each PO type routes to its own Odoo workflow, warehouse and document set.

How long does onboarding take?

Around two weeks for a single vendor code, longer where Amazon-side trading partner approvals or custom mappings are involved.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 28 days, no credit card. Trials usually run against a sandbox Odoo database with test documents before production go-live.

How is the connector priced?

By tier, based on vendor codes, marketplaces and document volume. Talk to sales for a quote matched to your Vendor Central setup.

Can we also sell on Seller Central?

Yes. Hybrid vendors run the Seller Central connector alongside this one in the same Odoo database, with shared inventory rules.

Can I sell on multiple marketplaces using Commercium?

Yes. Commercium supports more than 200 marketplaces, retailers, ecommerce platforms, ERPs, and other commerce systems.

You can connect and manage multiple sales channels through a single Commercium subscription without purchasing a separate connector for each platform. Some enterprise and ERP integrations may require a higher-tier plan.

Does every order I receive on any channel get counted against my plan order limit?

No, we only count those orders against your plan order limit that you receive via sales channels that you have connected using Commercium.

For example, suppose you already sell through Shopify and use Commercium to connect three additional marketplaces. In that case, only orders received from those three marketplaces will count toward your Commercium order limit. Your existing Shopify orders will not be counted unless Shopify is also connected to Commercium as a sales channel for order processing.

Most supported platforms can be added without paying a separate per-connector fee, provided they are covered by your current plan category.

How frequently does the data sync happen between the connected platforms?

Inventory sync happens near real-time. Most other data including products, prices, orders, fulfilment updates, and tracking information is typically synchronized within 5-10 minutes.

What happens when I cross my plan limit?

Once you cross your plan limit, your data sync remains active & everything keeps working as usual. We send you a monthly overage invoice that you can pay from within your Commercium portal within 7 days of the invoice issue date.

You can also upgrade to a higher plan later if continuously cross your plans limits because it saves you money since higher volume plans costs less.

Can I connect my shipping platform with Commercium?

Yes. Commercium supports shipping, fulfilment, and 3PL platforms such as ShipStation, Veeqo, ShipHero, Amazon MCF, and others.

This allows you to send orders for fulfilment and synchronize shipment and tracking information with your connected sales channels.

Can I connect my ERP & Account software too with Commercium?

Yes. Commercium supports accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero, as well as ERP systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo, Acumatica, NetSuite, and others.

These integrations can synchronize products, inventory, pricing, orders, fulfilment information, and accounting data, depending on the capabilities of each connected system.

What kind of support does Commercium offer?

Commercium provides support through chat, phone calls, screen-sharing sessions, and WhatsApp. Every plan also includes free onboarding to help you configure your account and connected platforms.

Why are there 3 different types of pricing plans?

Commercium offers three pricing categories based on the types of systems included in your integration setup:

Ecommerce pricing applies when your setup includes only platforms classified as standard ecommerce integrations.

Enterprise pricing applies when your setup includes an enterprise marketplace, retailer, fulfilment network, or another platform classified as an enterprise integration.

ERP pricing applies when your setup includes an ERP system such as Business Central, Odoo, Acumatica, or NetSuite.

If your setup includes an Enterprise or ERP integration, the corresponding pricing category will apply. Our team can review your requirements and confirm the appropriate plan before you subscribe.
