About Vendor Central
What is Amazon Vendor Central?
Amazon Vendor Central lets selected businesses operate as first-party (1P) suppliers to Amazon. You sell your products to Amazon in bulk, and Amazon resells them to customers under “Ships from and sold by Amazon.”

Vendor Central is invite-only and purchase-order driven. Instead of listing to shoppers yourself (as you would in Seller Central / 3P), Amazon sends you purchase orders, you confirm and fulfill them, and you invoice Amazon.
In Direct Fulfillment, Amazon forwards individual customer orders to you and you ship directly to the buyer. In Retail Procurement / Direct Import, Amazon buys inventory in bulk into its own fulfillment centers and handles customer shipping itself.
Either way, the same documents flow back and forth — purchase orders (PO), order acknowledgements, advance shipping notices (ASN), and invoices. Commercium automates these between Vendor Central and Odoo so your ERP and Amazon 1P channel stay in sync.

1. Item setup & catalogue
Sync catalogue attributes and vendor item information from Odoo product templates: case pack, dimensions, GTIN, brand and hazmat attributes. Rejections come back with the field that failed.

Every PO becomes an Odoo order with fulfilment centre, window dates, cost per unit and freight terms already mapped. Direct import and direct fulfilment orders are routed separately.

4. Inventory & availability feed
Send on-hand, lead time and availability by warehouse through the Amazon interfaces supported for your account, so Amazon orders what you can actually ship. Buffer rules and per-item caps are set in Odoo.

Which Odoo versions and hosting are supported?
we support from version 16 to latest, Community and Enterprise, on Odoo Online, odoo.sh or
self-hosted. The connector uses standard models and adds no core patches.
Do we need our own AS2 setup or EDI VAN?
It depends on your account. Where AS2 is required, the Commercium backend holds
the endpoint and certificates and handles trading partner registration; where Amazon’s other
interfaces apply, no VAN is needed. Your exact setup is confirmed during onboarding.
How are Amazon items matched to Odoo products?
By internal reference, GTIN/EAN or an explicit Amazon item field on the product.
Unmatched lines are held in a mapping queue rather than creating a broken order.
What happens when a document fails?
Failures retry with backoff and stay in the document log with the raw payload
and
error. Alerts fire on repeated failure so nothing sits silently past its window.
Can we run direct fulfilment and direct import together?
Where your account is enrolled in both programmes, each PO type routes to its
own
Odoo workflow, warehouse and document set.
