About the integration

What Commercium solves between Business Central and Temu

Temu is where the demand and the buyer relationship live: listings, pricing, order flow and its own return and refund policy. Business Central is where your items, stock and financials live. Commercium runs everything in between, without your team logging into the Temu Seller Center for routine work.

The problem

Marketplace operations done by hand

A Business Central user that also sells on Temu ends up running two operations: the one Business Central automates, and the one an ops person does inside the Temu Seller Center.

·New listings and price changes re-keyed into the Temu Seller Center one SKU at a time
·Orders re-typed from Temu into Business Central sales orders
·Stock counts drifting between Business Central locations and Temu listings
·Cancellations and refunds tracked in a spreadsheet instead of the ledger
·Returns arriving at the warehouse with no linked Business Central credit
·No single view across Temu and every other channel Business Central runs
With Commercium

Every document on a schedule, not a to-do list

One connection carries the whole Temu order lifecycle, driven by the Business Central data your team already maintains.

Listings and price updates pushed straight from Business Central items
Orders created as Business Central sales orders within minutes
Inventory pooled and synced in near real time
Shipment confirmation and tracking pushed back to Temu
Cancellations, returns and refunds reconciled to Business Central automatically
One pooled view across Temu and every other connected channel
Supported flows

Everything the Temu order lifecycle needs, running on a schedule

Seven flows, each configured to your fulfillment model, all driven from the same Business Central catalog and inventory. Semi-managed and fully-managed setups behave differently, so Commercium runs the rules that apply to your account.

How it works
1

Book a demo with Commercium

Tell us how your Temu store is set up, whether you run semi-managed or fully-managed logistics, and how your Business Central locations are structured. We walk you through the integration on a live call.

2

Get your details ready

Your Temu Seller Center credentials, warehouse or location IDs, listing template and category mapping, plus your Business Central API credentials.

3

Meet your integration engineer

Your engineer connects Business Central and Temu, then maps SKU identity, locations, carriers, pricing and return rules. Onboarding takes 1 to 2 hours once details are provided.

4

Test in a sandbox / staging listing

We run test listings, orders, shipments, cancellations, returns and refunds against a staging setup before anything touches a live buyer order.

5

Go live and monitor

Once you're satisfied with the data sync, we switch the connection live. Commercium runs every flow on schedule and flags anything that needs attention.

About the platform

Temu, and what selling on it actually involves

Temu is a fast-growing marketplace with its own listing rules, fulfillment models and buyer-first return policy. Commercium sits between it and Business Central, so your team never has to work inside the Seller Center for routine tasks.

The platform

Temu

Global marketplace

Temu is the marketplace and seller platform operated by PDD Holdings. Sellers can run semi-managed logistics, shipping orders themselves once Temu assigns a carrier, or fully-managed logistics, where inventory is pre-positioned in Temu-managed warehouses. Temu sets its own listing template, pricing rules, buyer-first return policy and performance scorecard, and a single seller account can carry many SKUs across multiple categories.

Fully-managed logistics (Temu-fulfilled)
Listing creation and price sync
Order acceptance and shipment tracking
Buyer-first return and refund policy
Cancellation windows before and after shipment

Field experience

What we learnt while integrating Business Central with Temu

Notes from live marketplace operations, and how each lesson became automation inside Commercium rather than a task on somebody's list.

Temu's return policy is buyer-first, and it needs to reach the ledger fast

Temu's return and refund policy leans heavily toward the buyer, which means returns and refunds happen more often and faster than on many other channels. If that activity isn't matched back to the original Business Central order quickly, credit memos fall behind and inventory looks wrong. Commercium matches every return and refund to its order the moment Temu reports it, so stock and the ledger stay current together.

Return matched to original order
Stock reinstated on warehouse receipt
Credit memo created automatically
Restocking fees reflected where applicable
Return, end to end
1Buyer initiates return on Temu
2Return authorization synced to Commercium
3Warehouse receipt confirmed
4Stock reinstated in Business Central
5Credit memo posted

Semi-managed and fully-managed logistics need different rules

Sellers running semi-managed logistics confirm their own shipments and carrier once Temu assigns routing, while fully-managed sellers hand fulfillment to Temu once stock is received into its warehouses. Treating both the same way in the ERP creates confusion at the warehouse. Commercium tags orders by fulfillment model at import, so shipment confirmation only happens where your team is actually responsible for it.

Fulfillment model tagged at order import
Carrier and routing mapping per model
Inbound stock transfers for fully-managed
Separate cancellation windows per model
One unit, every channel
1Order lands in Business Central or Temu
2Location quantity decremented
3Pooled quantity recalculated
4Availability updated on Temu
5Deltas reconciled continuously

Onboarding is quick: gathering the details is the real timeline

Onboarding takes 1 to 2 hours once all the necessary details are provided by the customer. In practice the elapsed time is spent collecting those details from Temu and from your own systems, which is why we send the list before the call rather than discovering gaps during it. Business Central itself connects quickly through its standard API.

What we need from you
Temu Seller Center credentials
Warehouse / location IDs
Listing template and category mapping
Business Central API credentials
Locations in the stock pool
Carrier codes and fulfillment model

Test listings before you test orders

Getting the category, attribute and pricing mapping right on a handful of test listings first saves far more time than debugging a rejected listing after go-live. We run this step with your team before any order flow is switched on.

Refunds aren't always full refunds

Partial refunds, restocking fees and promotional deductions all show up on Temu's side and need to land correctly on the Business Central credit memo. We assemble the credit memo from Temu's refund data plus your own accounting rules, so books stay accurate.

Cancellations behave differently before and after shipment

A pre-shipment cancellation just needs stock released. A post-shipment cancellation needs a return leg as well. We set the rule once so the warehouse never has to work out which situation it's looking at.

Multi-entity Business Central setups need a clear pool

Businesses running several companies or locations in Business Central need to decide, once, which locations feed Temu availability. We set that pool during onboarding so it never has to be reconsidered order by order.

Working notes from our integration team. We update this section as Business Central and Temu requirements change.

Can Commercium create products on Business Central?
Yes. Items, cross-references, location quantities and attributes can be created and updated in Business Central from your PIM or another connected channel, so Business Central can be either the source of truth or the destination, depending on how you run your catalog.
Can Temu orders be sent to my ERP?
Yes. Temu orders can be transformed and sent to supported ERP, ecommerce, OMS, WMS, accounting or fulfilment systems, including Business Central, with shipment, return, cancellation and refund data flowing back to Temu.
Can Business Central orders be sent to other connected systems?
Yes. Business Central orders can be transformed and sent to supported OMS, WMS, accounting or fulfilment platforms, and fulfilment, tracking and return status flow back into Business Central.
Can Commercium help new Temu sellers?
Yes. Commercium works with businesses during onboarding to prepare product data, connect systems, configure mappings and establish operational workflows, including listing setup and the fulfillment-model rules that usually decide how smooth a first Temu launch is.
Can Commercium help new Business Central users connect to marketplaces?
Yes. Commercium works with Business Central customers during onboarding to prepare item data, connect locations, configure mappings and set up the operational workflows a new marketplace requires.
Can I connect more than one seller account of Temu using Commercium?
Yes, you can add as many seller accounts as you want while remaining on your same plan using Commercium. You only upgrade when you cross your plan's order limits.
Can I connect more than one Business Central company using Commercium?
Yes, you can add as many Business Central companies or tenants as you want while remaining on your same plan, useful for multi-entity or multi-brand setups. You only upgrade when you cross your plan's order limits.
What are the next steps to connect Temu to Business Central using Commercium?
Five steps. First, book a demo with Commercium and tell us how your Temu store is set up and which fulfillment model you run. Second, get your details ready: your Temu Seller Center credentials, warehouse or location IDs, listing template and category mapping, plus your Business Central API credentials. Third, meet your integration engineer, who connects both platforms and maps SKU identity, locations, carriers, pricing and return rules; onboarding takes 1 to 2 hours once the details are provided. Fourth, test in a sandbox or staging listing, covering listings, orders, shipments, cancellations, returns and refunds, before anything touches a live buyer order. Fifth, go live, and Commercium runs the workflows on schedule and flags anything that needs attention.
Which flows does Commercium sync between Business Central and Temu?
Product sync, inventory sync, order sync, shipment sync, reverse logistics sync, cancellation sync and refund sync. Which of those run and how they're configured is set per fulfillment model, because semi-managed and fully-managed setups behave differently.
Does Commercium support both semi-managed and fully-managed Temu logistics?
Yes. Orders are tagged by fulfillment model at import. Semi-managed orders follow your normal Business Central pick, pack and shipment-confirmation workflow. Fully-managed orders are handled through inbound stock transfers into Temu-managed warehouses, so the warehouse always knows which rules apply.
How are returns and refunds reconciled back to Business Central?
Returns are matched to their original order as soon as Temu reports them. Stock is reinstated in Business Central on warehouse receipt, and a credit memo is created automatically from Temu's refund data, including partial refunds, restocking fees and promotional deductions.
How are cancellations handled before and after a shipment ships?
A cancellation before shipment simply releases the reserved stock back to available quantity in Business Central. A cancellation after shipment triggers a return leg through the reverse logistics flow, so nothing is written off until the item is actually back in stock.
How is Business Central inventory kept accurate across locations?
You choose which Business Central locations contribute to Temu availability. Those quantities are pooled into one available quantity, adjusted by a safety buffer, and published to Temu in near real time. When an order, return or cancellation lands in Business Central or on Temu, the pool is recalculated automatically.
How long does the Business Central + Temu onboarding take?
Onboarding takes 1 to 2 hours once all the necessary details are provided: Temu Seller Center credentials, warehouse or location IDs, the listing template and category mapping, and your Business Central API credentials. Business Central itself connects quickly.
Are Temu orders created inside Business Central?
Yes. Orders are created as Business Central sales orders with the correct location assigned and pricing on the lines, so picking and fulfilment happen in your normal workflow.
