The problem

Two fulfilment models, one Seller Central

Amazon measures sellers on stock accuracy, on-time dispatch and valid tracking. Without an integration, all of that runs on uploads, downloads and someone’s spreadsheet.

·Listings created and corrected one ASIN at a time in Seller Central
·FBM stock uploaded on a schedule that is always behind your warehouse
·FBA and FBM orders re-keyed into the ERP, or mixed up in the same queue
·Prime orders sitting in the same pick queue as standard orders
·Tracking typed back late, pulling down your valid tracking rate
·Settlement reports reconciled against the bank in a spreadsheet
With Commercium

About the platform

What Amazon is, and what selling on it involves

Amazon is the world’s largest online marketplace. Independent sellers list alongside Amazon’s own range, choose FBA or FBM, and run the relationship through Seller Central and the Selling Partner API.

What to know about Amazon

The world’s largest online marketplace

Amazon runs storefronts across North America, Europe, the Middle East, India, Japan and Australia. Independent sellers list next to Amazon’s own retail range and account for the majority of units sold.

Seller Central and three regions

Sellers manage everything in Seller Central. Marketplaces are grouped into North America, Europe and Far East regions, one authorisation per region can cover several marketplaces.

Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA)

Sellers send stock to Amazon fulfilment centres; Amazon picks, packs, ships and handles customer service and returns. FBA offers are Prime-eligible by default.

Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM)

Sellers hold stock and ship orders themselves or through a 3PL, under Amazon’s ship-by dates, with Easy Ship available in some countries for Amazon-arranged delivery.

Prime raises the bar

Prime shoppers expect fast, reliable delivery. Prime orders carry tighter delivery promises, so they need priority in the warehouse and the right carrier service.

Account health is measured

Amazon tracks order defect rate, late shipment rate, pre-fulfilment cancellations and valid tracking rate. Falling below targets can put selling privileges at risk.

FBA and FBM, both supported
FBA

Fulfilled by Amazon

Amazon holds and ships your stock. Commercium reads FBA inventory back and imports FBA orders into your ERP or accounting without sending them to your warehouse.

How it works

Setting up Amazon in Commercium

Six steps from your Commercium account to a live Amazon seller connection: Seller Central authorisation, marketplaces and fulfilment, platform connections, SKU mapping, then a test batch before the full catalogue goes live.

Step 1 of 6

Start your Commercium account

Start the 28-day free trial or book a demo. Tell us which Amazon marketplaces you sell on, whether you use FBA, FBM or both, and which systems hold your catalogue, stock, orders and finance data. We confirm the right plan before you subscribe.

Free trial, no credit card required
Scope call with an Amazon integration specialist
Flows confirmed across the nine Amazon syncs
Fulfilment models confirmed: FBA, FBM, Easy Ship, Prime
Step 2 of 6

Authorise Amazon in Seller Central

In Commercium, add Amazon as a channel and choose your selling region. You are sent to Seller Central to sign in and authorise Commercium through the Selling Partner API, no passwords are shared, and you can revoke access from Seller Central at any time.

Channels → Add channel → Amazon
Select region: North America, Europe or Far East
Sign in to Seller Central and grant consent
Connection validated and sample orders pulled
Step 3 of 6

Choose marketplaces & fulfilment

Pick the Amazon marketplaces this connection serves and how each one fulfils: FBA, FBM, or a mix by SKU. Turn on Easy Ship, Yojaka (Smart Connect) local delivery or Prime routing where they apply to your account.

Marketplaces enabled per connection
FBA, FBM or mixed by SKU
Easy Ship where available in your country
Prime routing and Grade & Sell handling switched on
B2B orders & invoice workflows enabled
Step 4 of 6

Connect your other platforms

Connect the systems Amazon needs to talk to, your ecommerce store, ERP, OMS, WMS, shipping app and accounting platform. Most platforms connect on your existing plan, and your integration engineer does this with you.

Store, ERP, OMS or WMS as the order destination
Shipping app or carrier accounts for FBM labels
Accounting platform for settlements and refunds
Multiple Amazon seller accounts on one subscription
Step 5 of 6

Map SKUs, routing & finance

Map it once so every order follows the same rules: Amazon SKUs and ASINs to your items, warehouses to stock sources, Prime routing rules, carriers and services, price sources, and where settlements, fees and refunds post in your books.

Seller SKU ↔ ASIN ↔ ERP item matched
FBM warehouses and stock sources
Prime routing: warehouse, carrier & service
Price source and update schedule
Settlement, fee & refund account mapping
Step 6 of 6

Test & go live

We publish a controlled batch of listings and run test orders, dispatches, cancellations and refunds with you. Once you are satisfied with the data sync, we switch the full catalogue live and monitor the first live orders and settlement.

Controlled listing batch published first
FBM order → dispatch → tracking tested end to end
FBA orders imported for accounting only
First settlement reconciled together
Field experience

What we learnt while integrating Amazon for our users

Working notes from live Amazon integrations, the things that decide whether an Amazon account runs quietly, and how each one became automation inside Commercium.

Prime orders need their own route through the warehouse

Prime orders carry tighter delivery promises than standard orders, but most warehouses receive them in the same queue. When a Prime order waits behind a batch of standard orders, or goes out on an economy service, the delivery promise is missed and the account metrics take the hit. Commercium reads the Prime flag on import and applies custom routing rules, a specific warehouse, carrier or service, and priority in the pick queue, so Prime orders are handled differently without anyone sorting them by hand.

Prime flag read on every order
Dedicated warehouse per region
Express carrier and service by rule
Priority in the pick queue
Ship-by alerts before the cut-off
Prime routing path
1Prime order imported
2Routing rule matched
3Nearest warehouse assigned
4Express service label created
5Tracking confirmed before cut-off

FBA and FBM in one account must never be mixed up

Most growing sellers run both: FBA for fast movers, FBM for bulky, slow or high-value items. Both arrive in the same order feed, but they need opposite handling. An FBA order sent to your warehouse gets shipped twice; FBM stock pushed onto an FBA offer causes overselling. Commercium reads the fulfilment channel on every order and offer, FBA orders go to your ERP or accounting for revenue and stock, FBM orders go to warehouse routing, and each channel’s inventory comes from the right source.

FBM stock never pushed to FBA offers

One SKU, two fulfilment channels
Handled by hand
1FBA order sent to the warehouse
2Same order shipped twice
3Stock and margin both wrong
With Commercium
1Fulfilment channel read per order
2FBA to accounting, FBM to warehouse
3Stock sourced per channel

Grade & Sell orders arrive with SKUs your ERP has never seen

When Amazon grades and resells an item, the order often comes through under an Amazon-generated SKU rather than the one in your catalogue. Left alone, those orders fail to import or create phantom items in the ERP. Commercium recognises Grade & Sell orders and maps them back to the parent SKU, with the condition kept, so revenue and stock land against the right product.

SKU mapping path
Grade & Sell order Commercium Parent SKU + condition ERP sales order

Listing updates are asynchronous

Amazon accepts a listing or product data change first and validates it afterwards. Problems come back minutes later, not in the response. We track every submission to its final status and show the reason next to the SKU.

Valid tracking is a scorecard item

Amazon measures how many FBM shipments carry valid tracking, and a carrier name typed wrong counts against you. Mapping carriers and services once, and confirming on the dispatch event, removes the risk.

Easy Ship works differently by country

Easy Ship is only offered in some marketplaces, and the steps for scheduling pickups and fetching labels differ between them. We enable it per marketplace rather than assuming one flow fits all.

A settlement is not a payout of orders

Settlement reports mix sales, fees, refunds, reimbursements and reserves across a period. Posting them line by line, not as one bank deposit, is what makes Amazon margins visible in your books.

FBA stock drifts quietly

Units lost or damaged in fulfilment centres, or stuck between inbound and available, rarely surface on their own. Our FBA inventory reconciliation (Beta) compares Amazon’s movements with yours so gaps are visible.

Authorise per region, not per marketplace

One Seller Central authorisation covers a whole region, so a European account can serve several marketplaces from one connection. Planning SKUs, prices and stock rules per marketplace is where the real work is.

Working notes from our integration team, we update this section as Amazon’s requirements change.

FAQ'S

Amazon questions, answered

Technical questions about how the Amazon integration works, and general questions about running on Commercium.

Can Commercium create products on Amazon?
Yes. Product sync creates and maintains Amazon listings from your catalogue, matching existing ASINs by GTIN, mapping product types and attributes, and keeping product data and prices updated from the same source.
Can Amazon orders be sent to my ERP?
Yes. FBM orders are routed for fulfilment with shipment and tracking confirmed back to Amazon. FBA orders are imported for revenue, stock and accounting. Amazon Business orders include buyer tax details and B2B invoice workflows.
Can Commercium help new Amazon sellers?
Yes. Commercium works with businesses during onboarding to prepare product data, connect systems, configure mappings and establish operational workflows.
Can I connect more than one Amazon seller account?
Yes. You can add as many seller accounts as you want while remaining on the same plan. You only upgrade when you cross your plan’s order limits.
What are the next steps to connect Amazon?
Start a trial or demo, authorise Amazon in Seller Central, choose marketplaces and FBA or FBM, connect your other platforms, map SKUs and finance, then publish a controlled batch before going live.
Does Commercium support both FBA and FBM?
Yes, in the same seller account. FBM stock is published from your warehouses and FBM orders are routed for fulfilment. FBA stock is read back from Amazon and FBA orders stay in accounting.
Can Commercium route Amazon Prime orders differently?
Yes. Prime orders are identified on import and sent through custom routing rules for warehouse, carrier, shipping service and pick-queue priority.
Does Commercium support Easy Ship and Yojaka?
Yes. Easy Ship is supported where Amazon offers it, and Yojaka (Smart Connect) local delivery can be enabled per marketplace alongside your own-carrier shipping.
Are Amazon Grade & Sell orders supported?
Yes. Grade & Sell orders are recognised on import and mapped back to the matching SKU so revenue and stock land against the right product.
Can Commercium import settlements and reconcile FBA inventory?
Yes. Settlement sync imports sales, fees, refunds and payouts. FBA inventory reconciliation and FBA GST invoice automation are also available, currently in Beta.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes. Commercium offers a 28-day free trial, and no credit card is required to get started.
Can I sell on multiple marketplaces using Commercium?
Yes. Commercium supports more than 200 marketplaces, retailers, ecommerce platforms, and other commerce systems.

You can connect and manage multiple sales channels through a single Commercium subscription without purchasing a separate connector for each platform. Some enterprise and ERP integrations may require a higher-tier plan.
Does every order I receive on any channel get counted against my plan order limit?
No. Only orders received through sales channels connected using Commercium count toward your plan order limit.

For example, if you already sell through Shopify and use Commercium to connect three additional marketplaces, only orders received from those three marketplaces count toward your Commercium order limit. Your existing Shopify orders are not counted unless Shopify is also connected to Commercium as a sales channel for order processing.

Most supported platforms can be added without a separate per-connector fee, provided they are covered by your current plan category.
How frequently does data sync happen between connected platforms?
Inventory sync happens near real-time. Most other data, including products, prices, orders, fulfilment updates, and tracking information, is typically synchronized within 5–10 minutes.
What happens when I cross my plan limit?
Once you cross your plan limit, data sync remains active and everything keeps working as usual. We send you a monthly overage invoice that you can pay from within your Commercium portal within seven days of the invoice issue date.

You can also upgrade to a higher plan if you consistently exceed your plan limits, as higher-volume plans can cost less.
Can I connect my shipping platform with Commercium?
Yes. Commercium supports shipping, fulfilment, and 3PL platforms such as ShipStation, Veeqo, ShipHero, Amazon MCF, and others.

This allows you to send orders for fulfilment and synchronize shipment and tracking information with your connected sales channels.
Can I connect my ERP and accounting software with Commercium?
Yes. Commercium supports accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero, as well as ERP systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo, Acumatica, NetSuite, and others.

These integrations can synchronize products, inventory, pricing, orders, fulfilment information, and accounting data, depending on the capabilities of each connected system.
What kind of support does Commercium offer?
Commercium provides support through chat, phone calls, screen-sharing sessions, and WhatsApp. Every plan also includes free onboarding to help you configure your account and connected platforms.

The support channels and service levels available may vary by plan.
Why are there three different types of pricing plans?
Commercium offers three pricing categories based on the types of systems included in your integration setup:

Ecommerce pricing applies when your setup includes only platforms classified as standard ecommerce integrations.

Enterprise pricing applies when your setup includes an enterprise marketplace, retailer, fulfilment network, or another platform classified as an enterprise integration.

ERP pricing applies when your setup includes an ERP system such as Business Central, Odoo, Acumatica, or NetSuite.

If your setup includes an Enterprise or ERP integration, the corresponding pricing category will apply. Our team can review your requirements and confirm the appropriate plan before you subscribe.
