The features

What Commercium automates

Acumatica → Amazon

Product sync

Acumatica stock items and matrix items are listed on Amazon against the right product type, with images, attributes, GTINs and parent-child variation families, or matched to existing ASINs.

Acumatica → Amazon

Inventory sync

Available quantity from the Acumatica warehouses you pick, based on your availability calculation rules, is pooled, buffered and pushed to every seller-fulfilled Amazon listing.

Amazon → Acumatica

Order sync

Amazon orders land in Acumatica as sales orders against an Amazon customer per marketplace, with the right branch, warehouse, ship via and marketplace-collected tax applied.

Acumatica → Amazon

Shipment sync

When the shipment is confirmed in Acumatica, the ship via code, service and package tracking number are confirmed on Amazon within your handling time.

Amazon → Acumatica

Refund sync

Refunds issued on Amazon become credit memos against the original invoice, with an RMA order bringing returned items back to the right warehouse.

Acumatica → Amazon

Price sync

Acumatica sales prices for a price class per marketplace, with an optional promotional price, update your Amazon offer, always within the minimum and maximum you set.

Both directions

Cancel sync

Buyer cancellation requests on Amazon cancel the Acumatica sales order or its lines; items you cannot ship are cancelled on Amazon from Acumatica with a reason.

Amazon → Acumatica

Settlement sync

Amazon settlement reports are posted to the general ledger, with sales, fees, refunds and reserves on the right accounts and subaccounts, and the payout ready for bank reconciliation in Cash Management.

How it works

From demo to a live Amazon channel in Acumatica

Seven steps from the first conversation to a controlled go-live: authorising Commercium in Seller Central, Acumatica and Amazon connections, product type, listing, price, order and finance configuration, then a verified test before you go live.

Step 1 of 7

Book a demo & scope the setup

Tell us how you sell on Amazon today, which marketplaces you sell in, and how Acumatica is set up: version, edition, branches, warehouses and how your finance team posts sales. We walk through the integration on a live call and show you how Acumatica and Amazon will work together.

Flows confirmed: product, inventory, price, order, shipment, cancel, refund and settlement
Which Amazon marketplaces and seller accounts are involved
New listings, existing ASINs, or both
Which Acumatica warehouses feed Amazon stock and what buffer to hold
How Amazon orders should land in Acumatica (customers, order type, branch, tax, invoicing)
Plan and integration requirements confirmed before you subscribe
Step 2 of 7

Prepare your Seller Central account

Commercium connects to your existing Amazon seller account. We help you check that it is ready for an integration before anything is connected.

Professional seller account active
Marketplaces you sell in confirmed
Brand Registry, category approvals or GTIN exemptions in place where needed
Shipping settings and handling time reviewed
Step 3 of 7

Log in to the Commercium portal

You get access to the Commercium portal, where connections, mappings, sync logs and alerts live for both platforms.

Portal account created for your team
Users invited with the right roles
Notification email for sync, listing and account-health alerts set
Step 4 of 7

Connect Acumatica in Commercium

Commercium connects to your Acumatica instance through its contract-based REST API, using a connected application and an integration user with the roles you approve.

Instance URL, tenant, branch and version confirmed
Connected application registered for Commercium
Integration user with access to inventory, sales orders, shipments and GL
Test read of stock items, warehouses, customers and sales prices
Step 5 of 7

Authorise Commercium in Seller Central

You sign in to Seller Central and authorise Commercium for your account, so it can work with listings, orders, shipments and settlement data through the Selling Partner API.

Commercium authorised in Seller Central for each region
Existing listings matched to Acumatica items by inventory ID, ASIN or GTIN
Product types and required attributes loaded per marketplace
Open orders reviewed before first import
Step 6 of 7

Configure listings, prices, orders & finance

We map how each record moves between the two platforms so your warehouse and finance teams see exactly what they expect in Acumatica.

Item classes mapped to Amazon product types and attributes
Matrix items and cross-references set up
Warehouses selected, safety buffer and handling time set
Price class per marketplace with minimum and maximum prices
Amazon customers, order type, tax and ship via mapping
GL accounts and subaccounts for sales, fees, refunds and settlements agreed
Step 7 of 7

Test, verify & go live

Every flow is run on real data before switching on: a listing created, stock and price pushed, a test order imported, shipped and refunded, and a settlement posted to the general ledger.

Listing live on Amazon with no blocking issues
Stock and price changes seen on Amazon within minutes
Test order created as an Acumatica sales order
Shipment confirmed and tracking sent to Amazon
Cancellation and credit memo reflected on both sides
Settlement posted to the general ledger and reconciled
Go-live date agreed and sync switched on
About the platforms

Acumatica and Amazon, and what connecting them actually involves

One is your ERP: items, warehouses, sales orders and the general ledger. The other is the world’s largest online marketplace, where you sell alongside Amazon itself and are judged on account health metrics. The work of the combo sits in between.

Acumatica

Your ERP, stock & finance source

Acumatica Cloud ERP is a cloud business management suite for growing mid-market companies, covering financials, distribution, inventory, order management and more. Stock items and matrix items carry attributes, stock is tracked per warehouse and location, sales orders become shipments and invoices, and every release posts to the general ledger across branches. For Amazon sellers, it is already where stock, orders and margins are decided, which makes it the natural engine for a marketplace channel.

Amazon

Global marketplace · 20+ countries

Amazon is the world’s largest online marketplace, with storefronts in more than 20 countries, and independent sellers account for around 60% of the units sold in its stores. Sellers manage listings, offers, orders and payouts in Seller Central, and connect software through the Selling Partner API (SP-API), which replaced the older MWS API. Orders are fulfilled either by the seller or by Amazon (FBA), and every seller is measured on account health metrics such as late shipment rate, valid tracking rate and cancellation rate.

How Acumatica concepts map onto Amazon
AcumaticaAmazonWhat Commercium does
Matrix item with variants Amazon listing (parent & child ASINs)Each Acumatica template item becomes an Amazon parent with one child listing per matrix item, or each item is matched to an existing ASIN by GTIN. We agree the structure during onboarding.
Item class Amazon product typeAcumatica item classes are mapped to Amazon product types, which decide which attributes each listing must carry.
Inventory ID / cross-reference Seller SKU & GTINThe GTIN or barcode cross-reference matches the item to an ASIN and the inventory ID becomes your seller SKU, so orders map back to the exact Acumatica item.
Quantity per warehouse Fulfilment availabilitySelected Acumatica warehouses are pooled into one available figure, following your availability rules and a safety buffer, and pushed per item.
Sales price & price class Offer price & sale priceThe sales price for a price class per marketplace, in that marketplace’s currency, becomes the Amazon offer price, with an optional sale price, always inside your minimum and maximum.
Attributes & custom fields Amazon attributesBrand, material, size, colour, dimensions and other required attributes live in Acumatica item attributes or custom fields and are converted to the values Amazon accepts for that product type.
Sales order, Amazon customer Amazon orderAmazon orders are created as Acumatica sales orders against an Amazon customer per marketplace, with the right branch and warehouse, marketplace-collected tax handled and the Amazon order ID stored as the customer order number.
Shipment & tracking Shipment confirmationAcumatica ship via codes are mapped to Amazon’s carrier list, and package tracking is confirmed as soon as the shipment is confirmed, including partial shipments.
Credit memo & RMA Amazon refundA refund issued on Amazon becomes a credit memo against the original invoice, and an RMA order brings items back to stock, with no second refund since Amazon collects customer payment.
GL transactions & bank reconciliation Amazon settlementEach settlement period is posted to the general ledger: per-order sales, Amazon fees on your accounts and subaccounts, refunds, reserves and adjustments, so the payout reconciles in Cash Management without spreadsheets.
Cancelled sales order / line Cancelled order or itemCancellations are mirrored both ways, with Amazon’s cancellation reason carried across.
The surface we work with
Acumatica Contract-based REST API Stock items, matrix items, warehouses, inventory, customers, sales orders, shipments, invoices, credit memos and journal transactions.
Acumatica Push notifications Change notifications on items, inventory, prices and shipments, so updates reach Amazon without waiting for the next poll.
Amazon Listings Listings created and updated per seller SKU against Amazon product types, with per-SKU issues reported back.
Amazon Offers Price, sale price, quantity and handling time per seller SKU, updated as Acumatica changes.
Amazon Orders New and updated orders downloaded with line items, taxes, and shipping address under Amazon’s data-protection rules.
Amazon Shipments Shipment confirmation with carrier, service and tracking, including split shipments.
Amazon Refunds & cancellations Refunds pulled into Acumatica as credit memos; cancellations sent from Acumatica when you cannot fulfil, and buyer cancellations pulled in.
Amazon Settlements Settlement reports and financial events with sales, fees, refunds and adjustments per order.
Amazon Product type definitions Required attributes and allowed values per product type and marketplace, read from Amazon so mappings stay current.
Field experience

What we learnt while integrating Amazon for our users

Working notes from live Amazon integrations, the things that decide whether an Amazon account runs quietly, and how each one became automation inside Commercium.

Prime orders need their own route through the warehouse

Prime orders carry tighter delivery promises than standard orders, but most warehouses receive them in the same queue. When a Prime order waits behind a batch of standard orders, or goes out on an economy service, the delivery promise is missed and the account metrics take the hit. Commercium reads the Prime flag on import and applies custom routing rules, a specific warehouse, carrier or service, and priority in the pick queue, so Prime orders are handled differently without anyone sorting them by hand.

Prime flag read on every order
Dedicated warehouse per region
Express carrier & service by rule
Priority in the pick queue
Ship-by alerts before the cut-off
Prime routing path
1Prime order imported
2Routing rule matched
3Nearest warehouse assigned
4Express service label created
5Tracking confirmed before cut-off

FBA and FBM in one account must never be mixed up

Most growing sellers run both: FBA for fast movers, FBM for bulky, slow or high-value items. Both arrive in the same order feed, but they need opposite handling. An FBA order sent to your warehouse gets shipped twice; FBM stock pushed onto an FBA offer causes overselling. Commercium reads the fulfilment channel on every order and offer. FBA orders go to your ERP or accounting for revenue and stock, FBM orders go to warehouse routing, and each channel’s inventory comes from the right source.

Grade & Sell orders arrive with SKUs your ERP has never seen

When Amazon grades and resells an item, the order often comes through under an Amazon-generated SKU rather than the one in your catalogue. Left alone, those orders fail to import or create phantom items in the ERP. Commercium recognises Grade & Sell orders and maps them back to the parent SKU, with the condition kept, so revenue and stock land against the right product.

SKU mapping path
Grade & Sell order Commercium Parent SKU + condition ERP sales order

Listing updates are asynchronous

Amazon accepts a listing or product data change first and validates it afterwards. Problems come back minutes later, not in the response. We track every submission to its final status and show the reason next to the SKU.

Valid tracking is a scorecard item

Amazon measures how many FBM shipments carry valid tracking, and a carrier name typed wrong counts against you. Mapping carriers and services once, and confirming on the dispatch event, removes the risk.

Easy Ship works differently by country

Easy Ship is only offered in some marketplaces, and the steps for scheduling pickups and fetching labels differ between them. We enable it per marketplace rather than assuming one flow fits all.

A settlement is not a payout of orders

Settlement reports mix sales, fees, refunds, reimbursements and reserves across a period. Posting them line by line, not as one bank deposit, is what makes Amazon margins visible in your books.

FBA stock drifts quietly

Units lost or damaged in fulfilment centres, or stuck between inbound and available, rarely surface on their own. Our FBA inventory reconciliation (Beta) compares Amazon’s movements with yours so gaps are visible.

Authorise per region, not per marketplace

One Seller Central authorisation covers a whole region, so a European account can serve several marketplaces from one connection. Planning SKUs, prices and stock rules per marketplace is where the real work is.

Working notes from our integration team, we update this section as Amazon’s requirements change.

FAQ's

Acumatica + Amazon questions, answered

Technical questions about how the two platforms sync, and general questions about running on Commercium.

Can Commercium create products on Amazon from Acumatica?
Yes. Commercium lists Acumatica stock items and matrix items on Amazon against the right product type, with attributes, images, GTINs and parent-child variation families, or matches them to existing ASINs and adds your offer.
Which Acumatica setups does Commercium work with?
Commercium works with Acumatica Cloud ERP through its contract-based REST API. We confirm your version, edition, tenants, branches and any customisations during the demo.
Do I need Acumatica’s own Amazon connector?
No. Commercium connects to Amazon directly, so the Amazon connector in Acumatica’s Commerce Edition is not required. If you already use it, we plan the switch-over during onboarding so no order is imported twice.
Can Commercium help new Amazon sellers?
Yes. Commercium works with businesses during onboarding to prepare product data, connect systems, configure mappings and establish operational workflows.
Can I connect more than one Amazon seller account to Acumatica?
Yes, you can add as many seller accounts as you want while remaining on your same plan using Commercium. You only upgrade when you cross your plan’s order limits.
What are the next steps to connect Acumatica to Amazon using Commercium?
Book a demo so we can scope your marketplaces and flows. Make sure your Seller Central account is ready, with any brand or category approvals in place. Log in to the Commercium portal. Connect Acumatica with a connected application and integration user. Authorise Commercium in Seller Central and match existing listings. Configure product types, price classes, orders, cancellations, refunds and finance postings with our team. Test every flow on real data and go live.
Which flows does Commercium sync between Acumatica and Amazon?
Eight: product, inventory and price (Acumatica to Amazon), orders (Amazon to Acumatica), shipments with tracking (Acumatica to Amazon), cancellations (both directions), refunds (Amazon to Acumatica) and settlements (Amazon to Acumatica).
Does Commercium use the Amazon Selling Partner API?
Yes. Commercium connects through the Selling Partner API (SP-API), Amazon’s current API for sellers, which replaced the older MWS API.
How do Amazon orders appear in Acumatica?
As sales orders against an Amazon customer per marketplace, with the Amazon order ID as the customer order number, the right branch, warehouse, ship via and tax. Invoicing follows the posting policy agreed during onboarding.
Which stock figure is sent to Amazon?
The available quantity from the warehouses you choose, calculated with your Acumatica availability rules, less a safety buffer you set per marketplace.
How is tracking sent to Amazon?
When the shipment is confirmed in Acumatica, Commercium confirms it on Amazon with the ship via code, service and package tracking number, mapped to Amazon’s carrier list. Partial shipments are supported.
How do cancellations and refunds sync?
Buyer cancellation requests cancel the Acumatica sales order or its lines, and items you cannot ship are cancelled on Amazon from Acumatica with a reason. Refunds issued on Amazon become credit memos against the original invoice, with an RMA order for returned items.
How does settlement sync work with the general ledger?
Commercium reads each Amazon settlement and posts it to the Acumatica general ledger: sales, Amazon fees on your chosen accounts and subaccounts, refunds, reserves and adjustments. The net payout is then ready to reconcile in Cash Management.
Does Commercium support FBA?
The flows on this page are built around seller-fulfilled orders. If you also use FBA, we review during onboarding how FBA orders and stock should appear in Acumatica, for example through a dedicated FBA warehouse, so they never trigger your own shipments.
Can I sell in several Amazon marketplaces or Acumatica branches or companies?
Yes. Each marketplace gets its own price class, currency, attribute mappings and tax handling on top of the same Acumatica catalogue and stock, and multi-branch or multi-company setups are mapped during onboarding.
Acumatica and Amazon, connected as one ERP and marketplace operation

Connect your Acumatica instance through its REST API with a connected application and integration user you control, and authorise Commercium in Seller Central for the marketplaces you sell in. Acumatica stays the source of truth for items, stock, prices and finance, and every flow is tested on real data before anything goes live.
