One Shopify store.
Dsco and OrderStream retailers.
CommerceHub, now Rithum, runs two dropship platforms: Dsco and OrderStream. Your retailers decide which one you trade on. Commercium connects Shopify to both, so every retailer programme runs from the products, stock and orders you already manage in Shopify.
No credit card required. Onboarding takes 1–2 hours once your credentials are ready.
Commercium connects Shopify to both CommerceHub platforms
Your retailer decides whether you trade on Dsco or OrderStream. Commercium supports both from the same Shopify connection, the same stock pool and the same plan, so a second platform is configuration, not a second integration project.
Connect Shopify to Dsco using Commercium
Dsco is Rithum’s retailer–supplier dropship network, used by retailers such as Nordstrom, Chewy, Kohl’s and Zappos. Commercium connects over the Dsco REST API with your account key, publishes your Shopify catalogue as Dsco items and brings every trading partner’s orders back into Shopify.

Connect Shopify to OrderStream using Commercium
OrderStream is the CommerceHub dropship platform retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Macy’s and QVC use to run supplier programmes. Commercium downloads retailer purchase orders into Shopify and sends back acknowledgements, shipments, invoices, inventory and packing slips, per retailer, in its format.

How the Shopify + CommerceHub integration gets done
Five steps from first call to live sync, the same process whether you supply Dsco retailers, OrderStream retailers or both.
Book a demo with Commercium
Tell us which retailers invited you and whether they trade on Dsco, OrderStream or both, plus how your Shopify store and locations are set up.
Get your credentials ready
Dsco: your account API key. OrderStream: account and exchange credentials, facility IDs and each retailer’s document set. Shopify: install our app or share Admin API credentials.
Meet your integration engineer
Your engineer connects Shopify once, then maps SKUs, locations, carriers and fields per retailer on each platform. Onboarding takes 1–2 hours once the details are provided.
Test every flow
Dsco flows are tested through Dsco’s own onboarding interface; OrderStream flows run in its sandbox. Orders, acknowledgements, shipments, invoices and packing slips are all checked.
Go live & monitor
Once you are happy with the sync, we switch each connection live, contacting Dsco support where required. Commercium runs the workflows and flags anything that needs attention.
Send us the retailer’s onboarding email. We’ll confirm whether it’s Dsco or OrderStream and exactly which documents that programme requires.
Shopify, CommerceHub and the two platforms behind it
One side is your store and stock. The other is a retailer-run network where each programme sets its own rules. Knowing which CommerceHub platform you’re on shapes the whole integration.
Shopify
Your storefront & stock sourceShopify is the hosted commerce platform behind millions of stores, from single-brand D2C sites to Shopify Plus enterprises. Products live as variants, stock is tracked per location, and orders carry fulfilments, all reachable through the Admin API. For most suppliers it is already the cleanest product and stock system they own, which makes it the natural engine for retailer dropship.
CommerceHub (Rithum)
Retailer dropship & marketplace networkCommerceHub built the connections large retailers use to run dropship and marketplace programmes. After merging with ChannelAdvisor, the business now operates as Rithum. Two of its platforms matter to suppliers: Dsco and OrderStream. The retailer invites you onto one of them and sets the rules, documents, response windows, inventory policy and paperwork.

Major retailers that use OrderStream
What we learnt integrating Shopify with CommerceHub
Real-world notes from running Shopify suppliers on Dsco and OrderStream, and how each lesson became automation inside Commercium.
The first question is always: Dsco, OrderStream or both?
Suppliers often say “CommerceHub” and mean either platform, or don’t yet know which one a new retailer uses. The answer changes the credentials we need, the flows that run and how items are set up. We confirm it from the retailer’s onboarding email before the first call, and it’s common to find a supplier already on one platform being invited onto the other.
One unit of stock, offered on two platforms
Once a Shopify store supplies Dsco and OrderStream retailers, the same unit is offered in several places at once, and a dropship cancellation hits the retailer’s scorecard as well as the shopper. Selected Shopify locations are pooled into one available quantity, buffered per retailer, and pushed to both platforms. When an order lands anywhere, every retailer on both platforms is updated.
Dsco field mappings differ per trading partner
Two Dsco retailers will want different item attributes, carrier codes and ship-from handling. We keep one mapping profile per trading partner over your single Shopify catalogue, so the work is done once per retailer.
OrderStream document sets differ per retailer
Some OrderStream retailers need acknowledgement and invoice upload; others only want shipping confirmation. One document profile per retailer means each programme gets exactly what it asks for.
The daily full inventory file is policy
OrderStream mandates a full inventory upload once a day. We run it for compliance and push real-time deltas between files, so availability is never stale.
Product creation is not symmetrical
Commercium creates Dsco items straight from Shopify. OrderStream item setup follows each retailer’s own process, so we plan catalogue work differently on each side from day one.
Packing slips arrive two different ways
Dsco provides the retailer slip, which we retrieve; OrderStream slips we generate in the retailer’s layout. Either way the slip is routed to the Shopify location or 3PL packing the order.
Dropship orders shouldn’t behave like store orders
We create retailer orders in Shopify tagged by retailer and platform, with customer emails suppressed, the right location assigned and dropship cost on the lines.
Response windows run through weekends
Acknowledgement deadlines are measured in hours on both platforms. Automating the response against live Shopify stock is what keeps scorecards clean when nobody is at a desk.
Test on each platform’s own terms
Dsco’s onboarding interface and the OrderStream sandbox behave differently. We run orders, acknowledgements, shipments and invoices in each so the first live order is never the first order.

Shopify + CommerceHub questions, answered
Technical questions about syncing Shopify with Dsco and OrderStream, and general questions about running on Commercium.
Can Commercium create products on CommerceHub?
On Dsco, yes. Product sync is available, so Commercium creates and updates Dsco item records directly from your Shopify catalogue, identifiers, titles, images, categories, costs and each retailer’s required attributes, validated before submission.
On OrderStream, no. Commercium does not currently support product creation for OrderStream; item setup follows each retailer’s own process. Once your items exist, Commercium runs inventory, orders, acknowledgements, shipments, invoices and packing slips from Shopify.
Can Commercium create products on Shopify?
Yes. Products, variants, images, inventory levels and metafields can be created and updated in Shopify from your ERP, PIM or another connected channel, so Shopify can be either the source of truth or the destination.
Can CommerceHub orders be sent to my ERP?
Yes. Dsco and OrderStream orders can be transformed and sent to supported ERP, ecommerce, OMS, WMS, accounting or fulfilment systems, with acknowledgement, shipment, tracking and, for OrderStream, invoice data flowing back to the retailer.
Can Shopify orders be sent to my ERP?
Yes. Shopify orders can be transformed and sent to supported ERP, ecommerce, OMS, WMS, accounting or fulfilment systems, and fulfilment, tracking and refunds flow back into Shopify.
Can Commercium help new CommerceHub sellers?
Yes. Commercium works with businesses during onboarding to prepare product data, connect systems, configure mappings and establish operational workflows, including confirming whether your retailer uses Dsco or OrderStream and setting up the per-retailer mapping or document profile.
Can I connect more than one seller account of CommerceHub using Commercium?
Yes, you can add as many Dsco and OrderStream seller accounts as you want while remaining on your same plan. You only upgrade when you cross your plan’s order limits.
Can I connect more than one Shopify store using Commercium?
Yes, you can add as many Shopify stores as you want while remaining on your same plan, useful for multi-brand or multi-country setups. You only upgrade when you cross your plan’s order limits.
What are the next steps to connect Shopify to CommerceHub using Commercium?
First, book a demo with Commercium and tell us which retailers invited you, whether they trade on Dsco, OrderStream or both, and how your Shopify store is set up.
Second, get your credentials ready, your Dsco account API key; your OrderStream account and exchange credentials, facility IDs and each retailer’s document set; and your Shopify credentials or our app from the Shopify App Store.
Third, meet your integration engineer, who connects Shopify once and maps SKUs, locations, carriers and fields per retailer. Onboarding takes 1–2 hours once the details are provided.
Fourth, test every flow, through Dsco’s onboarding interface and the OrderStream sandbox. Fifth, go live: we switch each connection on, contacting Dsco support where required, and Commercium monitors the workflows.
What is the difference between CommerceHub, Rithum, Dsco and OrderStream?
CommerceHub merged with ChannelAdvisor and now operates as Rithum. Rithum owns two dropship platforms: Dsco, an API-first retailer–supplier network, and OrderStream, a document-driven platform where each retailer sets its own document set. Commercium connects Shopify to both.
How do I know whether my retailer uses Dsco or OrderStream?
The retailer’s onboarding invitation will name the platform. If you’re unsure, send it to us, we’ll confirm which platform the programme runs on and which documents it requires before your first call.
Can I connect Shopify to both Dsco and OrderStream at the same time?
Yes. One Shopify connection feeds both platforms, from the same stock pool, on the same plan. Each retailer gets its own mapping or document profile, whichever platform it uses.
Which flows does Commercium sync between Shopify and Dsco?
Product, inventory, order, order acknowledgement, shipment and tracking, and packing-slip sync, over the Dsco REST API, for every trading partner on your account.
Which flows does Commercium sync between Shopify and OrderStream?
Order sync, order acknowledgement sync, invoice upload, inventory sync (including the daily full upload), shipment confirmation and automatic packing-slip generation. Which of those run is set per retailer.
How is inventory kept accurate across both platforms?
You choose which Shopify locations contribute to dropship availability. Those levels are pooled, buffered per retailer and pushed to Dsco and OrderStream in near real time. When an order lands anywhere, every retailer on both platforms is updated.
How does the OrderStream daily full inventory upload work?
OrderStream policy mandates a full inventory upload once a day. Commercium performs it to maintain compliance and runs real-time updates alongside it, so availability never goes stale between files.
Are CommerceHub orders created inside Shopify?
They can be. Retailer orders are created as Shopify orders tagged by retailer and platform, with customer notifications suppressed, the correct location assigned and dropship cost on the lines.
How are acknowledgement deadlines handled?
Orders are downloaded on a schedule, checked against live pooled Shopify stock and acknowledged automatically under your rules, accepting, backordering or cancelling lines. Orders approaching a retailer’s window are escalated before the deadline passes.
How are packing slips handled?
For Dsco, the retailer’s slip is retrieved per order. For OrderStream, the slip is generated automatically in the retailer’s layout. Either way it is routed with the pick list to the Shopify location or 3PL packing the order.
How are tracking numbers and carriers handled?
Carrier codes and service levels are per retailer on both platforms. Each retailer gets its own carrier mapping, so tracking captured from Shopify fulfilments or your 3PL is accepted.
Is there a test environment before going live?
Yes, on both. Dsco provides an onboarding interface for initial order, acknowledgement and shipping tests, and OrderStream provides a sandbox. We test every flow with your team before anything goes live.
What if my Shopify products have no barcodes?
Barcodes are optional in Shopify but expected by most retailers. Commercium audits barcode completeness and format before go-live and flags gaps, with metafield fallbacks where a retailer accepts another identifier.
Does Commercium need a Shopify app install?
You can install our app from the Shopify App Store, or connect through Shopify’s Admin API with scoped permissions you approve. No theme changes are required, and access can be revoked at any time.
Are Shopify multi-location inventories and 3PLs supported?
Yes. You choose which locations contribute to dropship availability, and routing rules decide which Shopify location or 3PL fulfils each retailer order.
Are partial shipments, backorders and cancellations supported?
Yes. Split and partial shipments are confirmed per package or line, and backorder and cancellation rules are set once per retailer on each platform.
Can I add another retailer later?
Yes. Once Shopify and your CommerceHub accounts are connected, a new retailer is a new profile over the same Shopify data. A Dsco trading partner we haven’t worked with before can usually be added within a day.
Is there a free trial available?
Can I sell on multiple marketplaces using Commercium?
You can connect and manage multiple sales channels through a single Commercium subscription without purchasing a separate connector for each platform. Some enterprise and ERP integrations may require a higher-tier plan.
Does every order I receive on any channel get counted against my plan order limit?
For example, if you already sell through Shopify and use Commercium to connect three additional marketplaces, only orders received from those three marketplaces count toward your Commercium order limit. Your existing Shopify orders are not counted unless Shopify is also connected to Commercium as a sales channel for order processing.
Most supported platforms can be added without a separate per-connector fee, provided they are covered by your current plan category.
How frequently does data sync happen between connected platforms?
What happens when I cross my plan limit?
You can also upgrade to a higher plan if you consistently exceed your plan limits, as higher-volume plans can cost less.
Can I connect my shipping platform with Commercium?
This allows you to send orders for fulfilment and synchronize shipment and tracking information with your connected sales channels.
Can I connect my ERP and accounting software with Commercium?
These integrations can synchronize products, inventory, pricing, orders, fulfilment information, and accounting data, depending on the capabilities of each connected system.
What kind of support does Commercium offer?
The support channels and service levels available may vary by plan.
Why are there three different types of pricing plans?
Ecommerce pricing applies when your setup includes only platforms classified as standard ecommerce integrations.
Enterprise pricing applies when your setup includes an enterprise marketplace, retailer, fulfilment network, or another platform classified as an enterprise integration.
ERP pricing applies when your setup includes an ERP system such as Business Central, Odoo, Acumatica, or NetSuite.
If your setup includes an Enterprise or ERP integration, the corresponding pricing category will apply. Our team can review your requirements and confirm the appropriate plan before you subscribe.
Tell us your store, your Dsco and OrderStream retailers and your back-office systems, and we’ll tell you exactly what the integration looks like.
