About the integration

One connection between your retailer network and your ERP

Selling through Dsco means every retailer you supply expects accurate stock, on-time acknowledgements and clean shipment data — while Acumatica is where your stock items, warehouses, purchasing and financials actually live. Without an integration, teams end up exporting spreadsheets, re-keying orders into Acumatica, and manually pushing stock counts back out.

The problem we solve

Dropship retailers score suppliers on fill rate, acknowledgement speed and on-time shipping — and all three depend on Acumatica data reaching Dsco fast and accurately, and on Dsco orders reaching Acumatica the moment they land. Manual handling breaks down as soon as you add a second or third retailer: each one wants slightly different attributes, ship-by handling and packing-slip behaviour, multiplied across every stock item and order. Commercium removes the manual step entirely — Acumatica stays your single source of truth, and every Dsco trading partner reads and writes through one automated connection.

How the integration is built with Commercium
1

Book a demo with Commercium

Tell us which Dsco retailers you supply and how your Acumatica instance is set up — tenant, branches, warehouses and the modules you use for sales, inventory and financials. We walk through the integration on a live call.

2

Share your Dsco and Acumatica credentials

Retrieve your Dsco account API key from the Dsco portal, and set up an Acumatica user with API access to a contract-based REST endpoint (OAuth 2.0 client credentials or an integration user). These are what authorise Commercium to work across both systems.

3

Meet your integration engineer

An integration engineer maps your Acumatica item classes, warehouses and price classes to each Dsco trading partner’s requirements, and configures the acknowledgement, shipment and refund workflows.

4

Test every flow end to end

Run test items, orders, acknowledgements, shipments, price updates and refunds between Acumatica and Dsco — using Dsco’s own onboarding interface — until every flow behaves the way your operation needs.

5

Go live with Dsco support

Once you’re satisfied with the sync, contact Dsco support to switch the connection live. Commercium runs the workflows continuously and flags anything that needs attention.

Already have your Dsco API key and Acumatica credentials?

Onboarding typically takes about a day once both are ready. Book a slot and we’ll run your first test order, acknowledgement and shipment on the same call.

About the platform

What Dsco is, and how Acumatica fits in

Dsco (a CommerceHub company) is a dropship and marketplace network that sits between retailers and their suppliers. A retailer invites you in as a trading partner and publishes its orders into Dsco; you publish item data, inventory and shipments back. Acumatica is the cloud ERP many of those suppliers run their operations on — financials, inventory, sales orders and warehouse management in one tenant, accessed by Commercium through Acumatica’s contract-based REST API.

Field mappings & data requirements

Retailer–supplier network

Retailers invite suppliers onto Dsco and manage them as trading partners. One Dsco account can serve many retailer relationships at once, each with its own requirements and performance expectations.

Item & product data

Suppliers publish item records — identifiers, titles, descriptions, images, categories, costs and retailer-specific attributes — which retailers pull into their own catalogue and storefront.

Inventory & cost feeds

Quantity, cost, MSRP, warehouse availability and discontinued flags are pushed to Dsco so each retailer sees accurate availability before a customer buys.

Orders & acknowledgement

Retailer orders land in Dsco with ship-to details, service levels and expected ship dates. Suppliers acknowledge each order — accepting, backordering or cancelling lines — inside the retailer’s window.

Shipments & tracking

Shipment confirmations carry carrier, service, tracking numbers and shipped quantities back to the retailer, closing the order and triggering the shopper’s tracking email.

Acumatica’s API surface

Commercium connects through Acumatica’s contract-based REST API — versioned endpoints over entities like stock items, sales orders, shipments and customers — extended, not modified, to add fields a retailer needs.

Retailer-invited, supplier-operated

A retailer runs its dropship programme on Dsco and invites you in as a trading partner. Your Dsco account holds your items, inventory and orders; the retailer sets the data requirements, the acknowledgement window and the shipping rules for its own relationship. Commercium sits behind your account and drives all of it from your Acumatica data — the same source feeding every partner.

What we learnt while integrating Dsco with Acumatica for our users

Notes from live Dsco-to-Acumatica operations across apparel, footwear, outdoor, pet and department-store retailers, and how each lesson became automation inside Commercium.

Acumatica’s contract-based API rewards a stable extension, not a default endpoint edit

Acumatica ships default REST endpoints versioned to the release (for example 24.200.001), and it’s tempting to just add fields directly to that default contract. That breaks on the next Acumatica upgrade. Commercium instead extends the endpoint with the custom fields each Dsco retailer needs — a Dsco attribute lives as its own field on the contract rather than a change to the shipped one, so the mapping survives upgrades.

Overselling is what a dropship programme is scored on

The moment an Acumatica warehouse also supplies three Dsco retailers, the same physical unit is offered four times. A dropship cancellation costs more than a store one — it hits the retailer’s fill-rate scorecard as well as the customer. Selected Acumatica warehouses are pooled into one available quantity, adjusted by a safety buffer per retailer, and pushed to Dsco near real time; when an order lands anywhere, the pool is recalculated and every partner is updated.

We sync the flows a dropship relationship actually runs on

Retailers judge suppliers on data quality, fill rate, acknowledgement speed and on-time shipping, so those are the flows we automate end to end. Commercium provides product, inventory, order, order-acknowledge, shipment, packing slip and refund sync across every Dsco trading partner on your account, driven from Acumatica.

We use the Dsco REST API for connectivity

We integrate Dsco over its REST API rather than file feeds. It gives immediate confirmation of what Dsco accepted, per-record error detail instead of a rejected batch, and a sync cadence that keeps Acumatica inventory close to real time on every retailer.

Onboarding takes an hour once the API key exists

Getting your Dsco account and API key through the retailer’s programme is the part that takes real time. After that it takes one hour at most to get onboarded — Acumatica connects through its contract-based REST API, and your trading partners are detected from the same Dsco key.

Dsco’s own portal makes onboarding smoother

Dsco provides an intuitive onboarding interface inside its portal that supports initial order, acknowledgement and shipping testing. We run those tests with your team, so the first real retailer order is never the first order you’ve ever processed.

Acumatica catalogues are operations-ready, not retailer-ready

A stock item built for internal operations can still be rejected: no barcode because Acumatica never required one, a mandatory retailer attribute with nowhere to live on the item class, or an image not reachable at a public URL. We validate against each partner’s requirements before submission and report errors per record.

Acknowledgement is a separate flow from fulfilment

Retailers expect an order response well before a shipment, and an Acumatica-paced fulfilment workflow will miss it. Commercium acknowledges against live pooled stock, backorders or cancels lines under your rules, and keeps the audit trail so scorecards stay clean while the warehouse works its normal cycle.

Packing slips belong in the pick-and-pack flow

A retailer-branded packing slip in the wrong box is a chargeback. We retrieve each order’s slip from Dsco and route it with the pick list to the fulfilling Acumatica warehouse or 3PL, so it prints where the order is packed — source to destination, on the same shipment.

Dropship orders shouldn’t behave like store orders

Created naively, retailer orders trigger Acumatica customer emails, distort warehouse reporting and pollute your customer records. We create them tagged by trading partner, with notifications suppressed, the right warehouse and branch assigned, and dropship cost rather than retail price on the lines.

Adding the next retailer should be configuration

Once Dsco and your Acumatica tenant are wired into Commercium, a new trading partner is a new mapping profile over the same source catalogue. That is why a retailer we have not worked with before can usually be added within a day.

Working notes from our integration team — we update this section as Acumatica and retailer requirements change.

FAQ'S

Dsco + Acumatica questions, answered

Technical questions about the Dsco + Acumatica integration, and general questions about how Commercium works.

Can Commercium create products on Dsco?
Yes. Commercium creates and updates Dsco item records directly from your Acumatica stock item catalogue — identifiers, descriptions, images, categories, costs and the attributes each retailer requires.
Can Dsco orders be sent to my ERP?
Yes. Dsco orders can be transformed and sent to Acumatica as sales orders, with acknowledgement, shipment and tracking flowing back to the retailer through Dsco. The same connection also supports sending orders to other supported ERP, ecommerce, OMS, WMS, accounting or fulfilment systems.
Can Commercium help new Dsco sellers?
Yes. Commercium works with businesses during onboarding to prepare product data in Acumatica, connect systems, configure mappings and establish operational workflows before the first Dsco retailer order arrives.
Can I connect more than one seller account of Dsco using Commercium?
Yes, you can add as many Dsco seller accounts as you want while remaining on your same plan using Commercium. You only upgrade when you cross your plan's order limits.
What are the next steps to connect Dsco to Acumatica using Commercium?
Book a demo so we can review the Dsco retailers you supply and your Acumatica setup; retrieve your Dsco account API key and set up Acumatica API access for an integration user; meet your integration engineer to have the mapping profiles built for each trading partner; test product, inventory, order, shipment and refund flows end to end; then contact Dsco support to switch the connection live, with Commercium running the workflows from day one.
Can Commercium sync Acumatica inventory to Dsco in real time?
Yes. Inventory sync between Acumatica and Dsco happens near real time, so quantity available in Acumatica's warehouses is reflected to every connected retailer as it changes.
Does someone in my team still need to acknowledge Dsco orders manually?
No. Commercium can acknowledge Dsco orders automatically based on Acumatica stock availability — accepting, backordering or cancelling lines inside the retailer's acknowledgement window — with manual review available for exceptions you configure.
Can refunds and cancellations in Acumatica flow back to Dsco?
Yes. When a return or cancellation is processed as a credit memo in Acumatica, Commercium reports the refund back to Dsco so the retailer's order record and your Acumatica financials stay reconciled.
Does Commercium support multiple Acumatica branches or warehouses for one Dsco account?
Yes. Commercium maps Dsco trading partners to specific Acumatica branches and warehouses, so multi-branch and multi-warehouse Acumatica tenants route orders and stock to the right place.
Which Acumatica editions and hosting options does Commercium support?
Commercium connects to Acumatica whether hosted on Acumatica Cloud, on Acumatica.SaaS-managed infrastructure, or on-premise, using Acumatica's standard contract-based REST API — no custom module required to get started, though we do add a lightweight endpoint extension for retailer-specific fields.
Can Dsco retailer-specific attributes be mapped to custom fields in Acumatica?
Yes. Where a retailer requires attributes Acumatica doesn't track by default, Commercium can map them to user-defined fields or attributes on the stock item, and expose them through an extended endpoint as part of your per-partner mapping profile.
How does Commercium handle Dsco packing slips alongside Acumatica shipment documents?
Commercium retrieves the retailer's required packing slip from Dsco and routes it alongside the Acumatica shipment's pick list, so the right paperwork reaches the warehouse team packing that shipment — from the Dsco source order to the fulfilling Acumatica destination.
How long does Dsco + Acumatica onboarding take?
Getting your Dsco account API key through the retailer's programme is usually the longest step. Once you have that and Acumatica API access ready, Commercium onboarding typically takes about a day, including testing every flow with your integration engineer.
