New: unique product code linking makes multi-channel Discogs sync more reliable
When you use the Discogs quantity field, Disconnect now writes a unique code into your listings so relisted or restocked items reconnect automatically across every channel.
What is new
For sellers using Discogs' native quantity field, Disconnect now appends a unique product code into a Comments or Location field you choose during setup, at the same time it imports your listings and quantities.
That code is what lets every connected platform agree they are looking at the same physical item, even after that item gets relisted on Discogs.
A relisted Discogs item used to be a fresh listing with no history. Now it is the same product, picking up right where it left off.
Why this matters once orders start moving
When a Discogs listing sells out and Discogs automatically relists it at a lower quantity, Disconnect uses the product code to recognize the relisted item and re-link it to its Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay or Amazon counterparts, decreasing quantity there too.
The same code is what makes restocking work cleanly: when a sold-out item comes back into stock from your source channel or from Disconnect, we relist it on Discogs under that same code rather than creating an orphaned duplicate listing.
Put this into practice
Connect Discogs, your store platform and every marketplace with one no-code connector, and keep inventory in sync everywhere.
